The NEMA National Essay Competition is designed to engage young Nigerians in discussions about emergency management and disaster risk reduction. It encourages participants to think critically, propose solutions, and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Participants are grouped into three categories, each with a unique and relevant theme:

◽Senior Secondary Students: My Role in Disaster Risk Reduction

◽Tertiary Institution Students: Climate Change and Disaster Management in Nigeria

◽NYSC Emergency Management Vanguards: Technology for Disaster Response: Opportunities and Challenges

📍Each topic reflects real-world challenges, making this competition both educational and impactful.

To be eligible, applicants must:

Before submitting your entry, ensure it meets the following criteria:

Format: Word document (Times New Roman, Size 12)

Word Count:

◽Secondary School: Max 500 words

◽Others: Max 1,000 words

Entry Limit: One submission per person

Details Required: Full name, category, and institution/NYSC details
