Picture Hooks is back with a brand-new illustration challenge, and this time the prompt is simple, expressive, and full of storytelling potential:
“Help, I’m Stuck!”

🖼️ What’s the Competition About?

Artists are invited to create two illustrations in a swipe-through (before-and-after) format that visually tell a story around the theme “Help, I’m Stuck!”

The judges will be looking for:

Strong storytelling

Clear character emotion

Expressive facial expressions and body language

A sense of movement from problem to resolution

Most importantly—have fun and let your imagination run wild.

Considered for a future physical exhibition

👤 Who Can Enter?

Open to artists aged 17 and above

Open to all nationalities

One entry per person (one pair of illustrations)

Free to enter

⚠️ Employees of Picture Hooks and their immediate families are not eligible.

🖌️ Illustration Requirements (Read Carefully)

Your submission must:

Include two original illustrations telling a before-and-after story

Be square or landscape (portrait format is not allowed)

Be unpublished and not submitted to other competitions

Be submitted as low-resolution JPG files:

72 dpi

RGB colour mode

Max 3MB per file

Be clearly labelled:

📸 No scanner? You may photograph your artwork using a phone or camera, as long as the images are clear and in focus.
