Earth Amulet Poetry Prize 2026: Call for Environmental Poetry Submissions
River Paw Press has officially opened submissions for the 2026 Earth Amulet Poetry Prize™, an international environmental poetry competition celebrating poems deeply rooted in the natural world. Poets from around the globe are invited to submit original works that reflect, question, and respond to our relationship with the environment.
This prestigious prize recognizes poetry that engages thoughtfully with nature—its beauty, fragility, and power—while encouraging mindfulness, compassion, and responsibility toward the planet we share.
About the Earth Amulet Poetry Prize
The Earth Amulet Poetry Prize™ is dedicated to poetry inspired by the natural world and its living systems. Submissions may explore forests, rivers, oceans, mountains, deserts, weather, seasons, flora, fauna, and elemental forces such as fire, wind, and rain.
Beyond observation, the prize seeks poetry that confronts environmental threats, human greed, war, and ecological destruction, offering insight and reflection that fosters awareness and care for the Earth.
Selected poems will be published in a print anthology, ensuring lasting recognition for contributing poets.
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)
🌍 Open to international poets
🔞 Applicants must be 18 years or older
📝 Poems must be original, unpublished, and written in English
❌ Translations from other languages are not accepted
Submission Requirements
Submit 3–5 unpublished poems
Maximum 6 pages total
Include an author bio (100 words or less)
All content must be in one document
Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
Format: DOC and PDF
Poems must be error-free and single-spaced
